As part of the Payday Superannuation reform, the ATO’s Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) will close on 1 July 2026.
After 1 October 2025:
· Only existing users will continue to have access to the SBSCH until 30 June 2026.
· New employers and users will no longer be able to sign up.
Most super funds now provide a clearing house service to employers, with registration usually available directly on their websites.
What This Means for Marlin HR Users
For years, our customers have been generating SuperStream-compliant payment files in Marlin HR and uploading them to the clearing house of their choice, just as they upload wages bank files to online banking.
This process is:
Easy to set up in Marlin HR
Saves time and reduces keystroke errors
More efficient than the SBSCH, which required manual data entry and did not allow file uploads
This has been a reliable and compliant solution for our customers, since SuperStream’s introduction 8 years ago. Therefore, there will be no developments to integrate Marlin HR directly with banks or clearing houses at this stage.
You can take advantage of the SuperStream functionality in Marlin HR. Simply follow the instructions in the link below.
